Sudurpaschim Royals topped it with 12 points from seven matches, six wins and a net run rate of 0.832. Biratnagar Kings and Kathmandu Gorkhas both finished on 10, separated by run rate. Lumbini Lions squeezed into the playoff places on 8 points with a negative net run rate of -0.394 — and went on to win the title.
The leading performers
RK Paudel finished as the competition's leading run scorer. SC Kuggeleijn took the most wickets across the archive, at an economy of 6.69.
What it tells us
A fourth-placed side with a negative run rate won the tournament. The most dominant league-stage team lost the final for the second year running. Whatever else the Nepal Premier League is, it is not predictable.
