Two records, one spell
Only two hat-tricks exist in the entire NPL archive. Alam owns one of them. The other belongs to RK Paudel, taken in the 2025 final.
Six-wicket hauls are barely more common. Alam's 6/25 leads the list; WG Bosisto's 6/28 against Pokhara Avengers is the only other one.
The same opponent, twice
Pokhara Avengers appear on the wrong side of both six-fors. They were also bowled out for 74 by Chitwan Rhinos — the second-lowest total ever made in the competition, behind Janakpur Bolts' 51 all out against Sudurpaschim.
Reading the figures properly
Six wickets for 25 in a T20 means a bowler took a third of his side's required wickets while conceding roughly a run a ball. In a competition where bowlers concede 7.43 an over on average, that is a spell two full runs an over better than the field, sustained while taking wickets — which usually costs runs, not saves them.
